Organisational Supervision

This relatively new concept involves applying models of professional supervision to facilitate organisational development. It also operates in practice under the term 'Group Coaching' and is defined as:-

"...a facilitated, consultative working alliance between the organisation and it's professional employees, where employees are offered space to reflect on their work role and environment with the objective of enabling both themselves and the organisation to grow and develop in operational competency, confidence and ethical creativity, in order to to deliver the best possible service to clients."
(Copeland 2005)

The following paper overviews the theoretical case for organisational supervision and highlights the intense opportunity to deliver strategic benefit to the organisation through the process.
