First 100 Days
The first 100 days in a new job can be exciting but also nerve-wracking. Research from the Institute of Executive Development Market Study 2008 shows that:
- 91% of newly hired executives said it takes more than 90 days and 65% said over six months to become productive. And even after making it through the first 180 days, some don’t make it and are gone within 2 years – 33% according to this study.
- 72% of internally promoted executives need more than the "first 90 days” to get up to speed, and 25% said six months or longer is needed.
When we consider the cost of recruiting an executive it is clear that organisations need to support the executive during these vital few months to ensure that productivity is maximized and that any temptation to leave the organization is minimized and this is where CareerVision can help. We have a long history of working with executives to support them in their new roles and with 100% still in employment within 3 years, the return on investment is clearly evident.
