Managing Your Career In Challenging Times

Making the right plans for your future during these changing times can be difficult. During the course of this 1 day programme, you will be taken on a journey of self-discovery which will lead to a greater level of self-confidence, a clearer picture of what you have to offer careerwise and future career ideas and education routes that are both personally suitable and realistic in today’s environment.

About the Programme

The day is spent getting to know each of you better, and helping you to know yourself better with a view to identifying the most suitable career paths and education routes for you. We focus the first half of the day on understanding your:

• personality traits – what you are naturally good at and poor at
• interests/motivators – what gives you a buzz and what leaves you cold
• talents and strengths – naming the talents and strengths you have to offer
• and key learnings from your career and education background

The second half of the day we will work with you to use these pieces of the ‘career puzzle’ to build a true picture of you and draw out what is important to you in your work. We then help you brainstorm suitable career paths or education routes or enhance your current careerpath so that you utilise these talents. Then it is over to you to action your career path/education route by identifying potential work experience opportunities, enhancing your knowledge and skills through training and networking/information gathering so that you are in a better position to succeed with your plan. One to one support is available to help you put your plan into action.
