Relocating from UK Workplace to Irish Workplace

I have a Right of Abode for the UK but would dearly love to work in Dublin where my son lives. Are there any global companies that I may be fortunate enough to gain sponsorship through or how do I go about working in Dublin. I am a Senior Executive PA with many years experience.

You should be able to find administrator/PA jobs on the IrishJobs website, and then you can apply to these directly. Your CV will have to be good to get through the application process, so it would be worthwhile getting some professional help with this to make sure your application secures you an interview. It would help to show that you have an Irish address available to you, so maybe use your son’s address on your CV. This will avoid the employers worrying about your relocation problems before they’ve had a chance to meet/interview you. You will also need to be available for interview immediately. Therefore, it may be worth planning a 2/3 week trip over here to Dublin during which you would apply and interview for job roles, and hopefully secure one. It’s not an easy thing to do from abroad, especially given that there’s such competition in the Irish employment market right now.
